Lithium strip is a strip-shaped material made from metallic lithium. It is silvery white in color, soft in texture, and has a density of only 0.534g/cm³. It is one of the lightest metals and has strong chemical activity, easily reacting with oxygen and water. It needs to be stored in an inert gas or vacuum environment.
1. Packaging Instructions (Double-layer protective packaging: 2 layers of aluminum-plastic bags sealed)
1.1 The lithium tape is wound on a plastic reel (for thicknesses below 0.1mm, there is PP release film; for the rest, it can also be covered with release film according to customer requirements). It is inflated and packaged in an aluminum-plastic composite bag in a drying room (2 layers of aluminum-plastic bags, with argon gas filled in the inner aluminum-plastic bags);
1.2 The inner aluminum-plastic bag is sealed by first vacuuming and then filling with high-purity gas. There may be a small amount of residual dry air;
1.3 The outer aluminum-plastic bag is replaced with high-purity argon gas in the drying room to remove the dry air inside the bag. The bag contains a mixture of high-purity argon gas and a small amount of dry air;
2. Usage Instructions
2.1 The glove box needs to be pre-cleaned to a water-oxygen value (H20, 0:) < 1ppm, and maintained in an inert gas (such as 99.999% high-purity argon) atmosphere;
2.2 In a dry environment, remove the outer aluminum-plastic bag outside the glove box (to avoid the small amount of dry air in the inner aluminum-plastic bag contaminating the atmosphere inside the glove box), ensure that the inner aluminum-plastic bag is undamaged, then transfer the unopened aluminum-plastic bag to the purified glove box. It is recommended to store it for more than 1 day in the glove box before opening (utilizing the circulating argon gas to remove the attached moisture on the surface of the aluminum-plastic bag); 2.3 During transfer, do not perform vacuum treatment for a long time in the transition chamber. Instead, perform ventilation in the transition chamber in small amounts and multiple times, each time evacuating 1096~20%, and changing 10~20 times to avoid the packaging material breaking due to negative pressure and causing product oxidation and deterioration;
2.4 The inner aluminum-plastic bag is sealed by first vacuuming and then filling with high-purity argon gas. There may be a small amount of residual dry air. After opening the bag, the oxygen content in the glove box increases as a normal phenomenon. The atmosphere of the glove box can be replaced with a gas (such as 99.999% high-purity argon) to remove the moisture on the surface of the aluminum-plastic bag;
2.5 Suggested storage method: After opening and using the glove box, seal the packaging again before storage (it is recommended to use the original aluminum-plastic bag, and prohibition using un-dried packaging bags for storage). Most of the products in the glove box have attached water (natural air)， and leaving them exposed in the glove box is prone to be affected by other items and cause discoloration.
