UK Harmony Energy invests in 49.5MW energy storage project Abstract: Harmony Energy said that the company currently has more than 500MW of large-scale battery storage system projects in the UK that are ready for construction or development. According to foreign media reports, British battery storage project developer HarmonyEnergy will continue to build a 49.5MW lithium battery storage system in Wiltshire after it has announced that it has obtained local planning permission for a grid-scale storage project. The system will provide balanced services for the National Grid, which is located on land near the Salisbury substation. It will connect to a 132kV distribution network, allowing more intermittent renewable energy from wind and solar projects to be installed on the grid. It is worth noting that in November last year, HarmonyEnergy also obtained the planning permission for the second 49.5MW lithium battery energy storage system at its CreykeBeck site, bringing the site's capacity to 99MW.
